So every friggin' day I'm proven that I'm dumber than I think I am. Me and my buddy decided to try and install the reverse indiglo gauges ourselves...we got everything apart just fine, only to be stupified with what to do with the fuse and alla the wires and the switch that came with my gauges.

I understand that there's a way to hook the gauges into the power switch for the headlights or whatever, so that they turn on just like the regular gauges would? Can someone detail for me how to do this, or provide a link with good pictures? I've seen the pics where you can run the wires through the firewall and alla that shit, but I'm just not down with all that work. Call me lazy. Can anyone give me a helping hand here? The body shop near me said they'd charge like 150 bucks to install...and that's over twice what I paid for the gauges in the first place. Help please!

Two wires will be routed from the cockpit to under your hood via the firewall. The red wire will be spliced into the parking light assembly? And the black wire (ground) can be connected to your negative battery terminal.

No, I'm talking about NOT routing the wires through your firewall and touching it off on the neg. battery terminal screw...I heard there was a way to splice the wires with the HEADLIGHT wires, so that the indiglo gauges click on whenever your headlights do, just like the regular gauges. How do you do this..?

What you want to do is tap into the parking light wires. open up the panel uder the drivers side foot well and the wire is located in the upper left hand corner in a white plug. Tap the positive from the gauges into the park lights and the other to ground.

If you cant find it get a low current light tester or voltmeter and probe the wire and turn your parking lights on. It will show positive when you turn on the switch.
When you head lights are on so are your park lights so there is no need to tap the headlights.

Dude you don't need to cut cables or go thru no-firewalls. Just go to your locar AutoZone or any Car parts store and buy an "add-a-wire" also known as "add-a-fuse", make sure you get the "mini" version. Connect the cable that comes from the reverse gauges to the "add-a-wire". Then pull out the tail-light fuse, plug it into the "add-a-fuse" port. Now you have 2 fuses that connect to one and just plug it right back into the fuse port. All done, no cutting or splicing. I will try to get you a pic.

The headlight wires are the wires that are hooked up to the bulbs of the headlights. There's no headlight wires in your cockpit that you can hook the gauges up to.
