well im getting my headunit soon and i wanted to have a setup where i could have an in dash monitor and a regular CD player in the same slot. i saw a pic of someone who put an in dash monitor in the radio slot and put a DVD player right below it. i dont have the pic because the gallery isnt working. but basically i want to buy an alpine flip out screen that plays only AM/FM stations, and then have a dedicated Alpine Cd player so i get better sound and still have the flip screen. i want to spend under $1000 for the setup but to get an in dash monitor with the power of a dedicated Cd player is hard to find under a grand. so if i go about doing this how am i supposed to mount it? im thinking i got to get a single din and modify it to act as a 2 din. any suggestions? any help would be appreciated.
