since the ecu is in the engine bay where should i run the wires for the safc to the inside of the car

Have you tried looking for a hole in the firewall? Sometimes they'll leave a few. It tedious work trying to find it-have to get down to look for it, but you may find one

thread the wires through the grommet... you'll have to take out you battery and you'll see it...
from the inside its a bit to the top and right of the gas pedal.
