Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Radio LED's

Now that I have my radio backlight working again, I want to change my radio LED's to blue to match my LCD screen on my instrument cluster and the AC console. Do I use the same type of LED's that I used for the instrument cluster, and how many do I need. I looked around, and some places say that I need 46, and some 47.

The number isn't a big deal, but I just need to know if I should order the same size LED's as I did for the instrument cluster. The blue ones are expensive at like $1.75, so I'm not sure if I want to order blue ones or not.

Oh well.

I saw that, but if I buy them from Digi-key.com, then I can save a lot of money.

I guess I'll buy 50 of them just to make sure I have enough, but what size LED's do I need? Same as the other LED's in the instrument cluster?

There was a post a while back about the same topic that had a how-to with it, i will try to find it, but i am usually not the best at researching.

I tried searching, and on the 3rd page of search results, I fell asleep.

I may be retarded, but I didn't actually see what type of LED's they were.

Are they 1206 LED's?

no, the radio conversion sold there is only for the GTS

not sure, they simply state that the GT radio is "a tad different"
