glove box i think is the best place...it's also one of the most functional places. however, if you plan on going with a complete custom (and expensive) setup...i'll show a few pics

Those are some crazy set ups. I like that. I want to get the PS2 in the back seat, then put gauges in the glove box or sumthin.

Anyone ever thought of disassembling a ps2 and custom mounting the components separate? I've been tossin the idea in my head for awhile now...Just think about the tray being flush mounted somewhere as well as the controller ports and memory cad slots. I'm gonna figure it out soon. If I do I'll post pics of my progress. cool

the 4th picture is also not practical...theres no more leg-room for the passenger side. (alothough some of you think that passengers dont have any say, LOL)

i like the 3rd one!

yes...it's awesome looking. they usually have the ps2 mounted somewhere where you can reach (glovebox, rear panel) but the control assemblies are separate from the box. i've seen the control assemblies put into the center dash and it looks SWEET...i tried to find a pic of it but i couldnt remember where i had seen it at. i'll look again thumbsup

Question, who plays these games that people put in their cars, or is it strictly for show? I know when I am driving and I am actually busy driving...no time to be playing some video games. I am guessing its just some type of display of how much "money" you "have" ?????

^^it's mostly for show...i mean i guess passengers can play.

just like those suv's that put tv's in the headrests of the back seats (where no person sits behind) it's for show so that the car behind you can see what you got.

i dunno, i think it's kinda dumb, but hey if you've got the money...go ahead!

it is mostly for show.

of course, at first everyone plays it..passengers and driver (when not driving of course) but it soon gets very old because who liks playing a video game on a 6" or 7" lcd? NO ONE.

it's functional for maybe the first 3 months..after that it is only a show mod. thumbsup

to have the controllers plug into the center console you dont have to dissemable the playstation. you can go to best buy, circuit city ect. and buy extensions cords for the cables and then you run the extensions for the ps2 to the center console like speaker wire and then the custom fabrication of the center console has to take place to have everything flush for the sockets to stick through. my friend has this setup in his is300 if i can get picks i will.

if you do that, i bet you could sell the idea, or a kit to other people too... mount the disk tray like in the dash, and put controller mounts on all four corners, and memory slots too... like they did in upper class minivans, they would have controller ports, all over the car (or atleast my cousins van did) plus it came with the n64 so it was ausome... they also had a tv in the top portion of this 7 seater van, it was phat... its not impossible tell me how it works out...

^^ it wouldnt be worth it because of the lack of people that would do it.

just get someone to do a custom fabrication of it..many audio shops and custom autobody shops can do this.

that reart seat would be ok (and very cool, if you could run an extension cable for the controler to your dash. but it would be a pain to run the controler cable from behind you, its just always easier for the cable to be infront of you. i have an idea of how i want my ps2 mounted now. ill post pics up this weekend.:
