This is my first post and all, but i just got a 01 gts and everything is stock right now. i thought i would lower it first by about 1.5, what are the pros or cons of this, and what springs are the best and will anything else need to be done for them.
i just want to make sure every aspect is covered so there are no problems down the "road"
thanks

You will feel bumps more. But the handling will be awesome, and cars with drops look awesome. My suggestion would be a TRD drop, because you keep the dealer warranty. If you want a lower drop, go with Hotchkis, or Eibach Sportlines.
Also, Tanabe springs are a steal at $125 at www.suprastore.com. [suprastore.com.]

Edit: And of course, welcome to the boards! Congrats on your GTS, I love mine. thumbsup

Pros: looks & handles better

Cons: bumpier ride 'cuz you feel more of the bumps & you gotta watch out for steep inclines if you decide to get a body kit down the road.

TRD, Tanabe, HKS, Tein, Hotchkis, Eibach...they'll all perform well 'cuz they're built to high standards. If your stock struts have low miles on them & you don't drive that much, then all you need for now are springs. After a couple of yrs you're gonna need to buy new struts 'cuz the stock struts will be dead by then, but you should have some $ saved up by then.

yeah, welcome to the boards bro...and yes...springs come in sets...not sure about the tanabe springs...but you may not be able to ride on the stock struts with them (may have to upgrade to Koni)...or you can go with the Goldlines here on the Ecelica store! (really nice drop)...but again I'm not sure about riding with them on the stock setup
