I got my Infinity components today and one of the woofers are blown. I already cut out the stock speakers so i'm not going to have music from one side. What should i do?
what you should do is goto either Circuit city or car toys and buy their SERVICE PLAN and then the next day bring those speakers in and say they blew...now you get a new set of speakers! also make sure they have ur exact pair of speakers!

^^^^ Ah but circuits plan is not as easy anymore. Right before i quit we just couldn't deef (sp) the speakers anymore they wanted to try to repair them instead of giving you a new pair. Good luck though bro.
And are you sure that you didn't cuase the speaker to blow. One crossed wire and boom there she goes!!!
What did the sellers return policy look like? When I sell on ebay I clearly state in the auction "all sales final". If the seller stated this, you are SOL and have no recourse with the seller.
If you paid via paypal, you can file a claim stating the item was not as stated. But technically you got the item that was pictured/described. If you didn't buy a warranty or one wasn't offerened then most likely SOL.
i wired everything up right so it wasnt my fault. on the description page all he had was the specs without the any warranty or return policy. but he also cliam them to be like new. here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N%3AIT&rd=1 [cgi.ebay.com]
In all honesty, I would POLITELY email the seller, describe your situation. Tell him/her that you believe you did everything correctly and its blown. If you are nice and polite they might offer to refund you (minus shipping) and let you keep the item or refund you completly if you return it, there are tons of possibilities. Just do not assume they are going to take it back and refund your money.
People on ebay are just that, people, not stores w/ return policies/ refunds / etc.
That is one of the chances you take with buying on ebay.
Bottom line: Don't be pushy or rude to the seller. It could of been an honest mistake.
but if he improperly packed them, then thats another issue.
If the damage is from shipping you should of taken a picture of the box so the seller could see how he improperly packaged, but this doesn't seem to be the case with original poster.

I ordered a grill from ebay. Paid and the seller quit. I freak out and filed fraud report but nonthing happen. 2 months later it shows up at my front door. Hanvnt heard from the seller from a long time. O well at least i got it.
It doesn't really matter how you pack it, unless it's like in 3 foot thickness of styrofoam. Postage people aren't really knowon to be careful with things, i used to work in a post office and the more fragile stickers a package had the more the threw it around
thats nice, the more insurance claims there are the worse for postal workers...where do you think that money is really coming from? Makes you think. lol

^^^ least you have a spare one now one time it took 3 months for a package from canada to get here turns out no one was ever home to sign for the thing
DisGqBoi also the seller of your speakers is using some really bad pictures. Like he just took them off a site or something. I'd trust people who take the pictures themselves over something that looks like some generic pic.

my buddy got crewed on ebay too...paid the guy 4k for a set of 22" Lowenhart LD1's and never saw a wheel. Had the cali police lookin for the guy. Trace the phone number to an empty lot between two houses. So he lost his 4 grand...i felt bad for him...thats why i never spend over 100 bux on ebay.
