I plan on attempting to tint my own windows. Say i tint on the inside, would it look any different than tinting on the outside? thanks

It does not look pretty with white stuff that just won't go away.

INVADER ZIM rules I believe Satoshi just used the outside as a template and then put it on the inside. That's because he did the tint job himself. BTW tinting should be done by professionals, just found this out the hard way.
