So it's only to strengthen no actual HP gains. It doesn't give you a higher lift or anything like that right.

uh yeah. the old style bolts can break very quickly. your engine is hella clean on the outside good lord  also you could've just drilled the bolt out instead of breaking your cover

good job on the bolts for those of you who are experts on replacing lift bolts do we need some type of seelant when you put back on the engine cover and clos breaking the engine cover will cost you a preety penny to replace

Is there an easy way to extract the broken pieces? I know mine are broken, but I don't want to go in there to find out unless I know I have a way to get them out.

assuming your shaft has not rotated you can drill them out  once you've done it a few times its actually quite easy if the shaft has rotated then you have to do the TSB way. which has a lo of steps and requires a bit of time to finish.

thats great that you took pictures while doing it. im sure it will help people out a lot who havent done it before. this way the can see what they have to do. just an idea, but maybe you could explain whats going on in the pictures or circle and put arrows pointing to stuff. good job
