Don't know if you guys have seen this, but JRP has posted on there front page that they're working on a Celica GTS 00+ Turbocharger kit that is "capable of producing up to 350+ HP".

"Please note that this kit is not yet complete. This was the very first Dyno run, making approximately 295WHP."

WOW, I love the sound of blow off valves. I would love a Turbo. Would be so fun to blow away people who think you have just a regular celica. thumbsup

those wheels are probably the reason for the power loss. they probably were fabricated by the moster garage team in 5 days (weighing 30 lbs each) spineyes

you do notice that they are not using a stock engine to make that power smile they said street kit will be 7-9 psi and I'll guess around 240 whp if they are lucky smile

gotta read the fine print sometimes wave

Hate to break it to everyone, but the stock 6spd isn't going to respond well to that much wheel power.

Can some one explain me pls why EVERYBODY is so exitet about Turbochargers and forgets about Superchargers.. a Superchargers works instant.. a Turbocharger needs to warm up.. the Supercharger give the GTS the low end power it needs.. and lots.. while the Turbo just increases the already high end power.. by the time you are able to use that power you're oponent is long gone tongue

Ya and then when they are ahead of you thinking they have it in the bag, and you hit lift and send them car lengths behind you, who gets the laugh then? And just so you know... the Supercharger for the GTS (Blitz) only gave about 50 whp <---- correct me if I'm wrong. If the gains stated above are for real, this kit could be pushing out over double that of the Blitz Supercharger.

it was right around 35whp, but that was at the top of the rpm range... more power down low.

it doesnt quite work the way you are thinking it does.

the blitz S/C put down 215 whp and 190 wtq

the S/F Turbo put down 277 whp and 204 wtq

if you think the s/c gts would beat the Turbo gts you're wrong. his Turbo spools at 3500 rpms. when you are racing you are NEVER down that low any ways smile

...and that's why you buy a cheap Turbo and run without a blow off valve. grin Once I'm a baller and I can sport an HKS Turbo, then I'll think about preserving my investment and sport a blow off valve.

My lugnuts require more torque than my Honda produces.
