Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior fiberglass door inserts

basically im asking for someone else with Fiberglassing experience to start working on this project. i REALLY want these and unfortunately Jon (carbon_blue_gt) had to stop working on these.
so if anyone would aid in producing these it would be very appreciated...im sure a few other who wanted them too would appreciate it also. thanks

huh When did he stop working on them? Are you serious? Last I heard he had to stop until he got more cash but I thought it was only for a few weeks. This SUCKS, he didn't even tell me anything. Maybe he could ship the door panels that I sent for the prototype to Tater. Tater was going to make them and wanted me to ship him my door panels for his prototype but I already had a deal with carbon_blue_gt. So, I told him that it was too late.

Are we talking bout the small pieces her like in the ecelica store or bout the entire inside of the door ?

Basically, i have some other important aspects of my life that need more attention than Fiberglass projects...

Those of you who i have worked out deals or trades with will still get your inserts, or anything else that we had worked out, but i'm not selling them anymore.

if there is significant demand for this I can make a set then ship them to my factory to have a mold built so they can be mass produced at an affordable price.

go for it! I guarantee it will be profitable... especially if you can produce it without having to collect deposits to buy materials, like a poor bastard like me has to do.

I'd just want to see the interest first and if I get enough response I'll build a set off the celica we are doing the blown kit off of and then place an order for 50 sets. I could have them done in carbon fiber as well.

Perhaps we should start a thread to gauge demand?

This goes for anything celica owners are looking for in Fiberglass or carbon. I work direct with a factory overseas meaning the price is lower b/c we don't have huge overhead expenses by trying to do the parts ourselves or buying through other distributors.

dude if you can get them for a nice price say 50.00$ a set. you will sell out of em , all you got to post your a group buy here and you will have ppl jizzing for em

I can get some pricing together tomorrow to see what they will cost me to manufacture and what I can sell them for. I'd be willing to do a group buy on the first run to get pricing down from what we'd retail them for.

The more we buy the cheaper they become.

if the price is right i would be intrested in the carbon fiber.

I have been thinking of starting back on these... I wouldnt mass produce them by any means. If I can get to the store today I might start on a new mold.

KrazyKustomz is a good guy if he does the project i think it will be great.
