i was in huntington beach ti pick up my sway bars at beach and heil when a kid in a kia going at 95 mph hit a yukon...problem is..i was in front of that yukon about to turn a right. can you imagine hitting a freakin truck/suv at a stop to be able to hit another car in front spriraling in an intersection??? i was knocket out for a momment from the impact.thank god this kid had insurance. i just couldn't beklieve it. had i left my house 5 minutes later or sooner this wouldn't have happened...but i'm just really glad to come away with a minor concussion.all day that day i appreciate all i have and life in general. surprisingly there was no major damage (well as major as what was expected with the hit i took). i have to get the hatch repainted and a new rear bumper. the kid seemed shaken and fine while the people in the suv suffered a little trauma and back pain. thankfully none of us lost their life.
...just makes me wonder. had that suv not been there, would i even be typing this out to you guys?
the kid was 17 years old.his car definatley got the worst of it as his whole front was smashed like a tin can...radiator gone...still foggy on what happened right after because paramedics were examining me...plus i felt too dazed
dont think like that. then you might be afraid to leave your house. think of it this way, had you left 5 min earlier a dog could have ran out infront of you and to avoid it you swerved off the road and over a bridge and did die. but since you left 5 min late you got into an accident where you only got a minor concussion. im surprised the person doing 95 lived. he must have hit that yukon with hella force to move it. glad your ok and good luck with the car.
Dang Christian that sucks man. Glad your ok! Its good that you are able to handle the situation afterwards in a peaceful manner. Most people would get upset and write a bunch of crap on these threads. Guess it comes from your training! Good luck with this whole mess!

i doubt it's my training..i think i'm still punchy from the accident...lol.
but seriously i'm just glad to be alive and i appreciate my gf and family more. the kid's seat belt and air bag saved him (he was the luckiest one out of all of us in my opinion). at first he claimed that a car hit him from behind...but the police inspected his rear bumper and the tire treads...and found no evidence to this reasoning. i guess he was more punchy than i was...lol
was he drinking or anything? it being a holiday weekend and all
from what i re-call the police did not administer a test for alchohol...but a pink elephant could have walked by and i wouldn't have noticed either...lol
dang, sorry man, hope it works out good. BTW, my friend was hit, and got 10grand from the guys insurance because she claim'd to have an injurd neck. if you want then you can get a lot of money out of this. good luck, and im glad that your OK
