well if by fit you mean the little space they leave between the light body and the car body, that is normal, all aftermarket lights do that, but the water seal prevents water from entering the electrical area behind the lights. However, you mean they don't fit period return them and get a better brand of euro, because APC tends to not be a good brand.

Yeah, the light can't fit right due to the body of the car.. what can I do to fix that???
I mean, the tail lights fit perfect.. but when I put the light bulbs and try to put it back in the car, then the back of one of the bulb hits the plastic from the car, and it won't fit..
If there is just a small gap, which is normal, try to get someone to help you push the light in, while you screw the screws. Thats what did it for me.
Hey by doing this, it won't damage anything in your car right.. The last thing I want to do is damage my car.. hum I can red out my stock tail lights before damaging my car..
No...i know ur problem now, and this is what i did.
I had a partner push not too hard on the tailights while i screwed the tailights in. Then i put the bulbs in, and had the same problem with what your having, so what i did was i got an x acto knife and sliced a little bit of the plastic, so that way i could fit the bulb in. You dont have to do this, but you have a chance of either ripping the plastic or just getting a bunch of cuts on ur hand lol from trying so much, plus if you ever wanna remove it it would be easier to just cut the plastic a little anyway. I also found that that bulb sticks out farther then the other ones and interferes with the plastic clip on. You could put the plastic clip ons back to make it look neater, but they wont be fitting right. I just took them off.
i have apc euro lights on my celica. i had this shop put it on and it took like an hour to do cus it didnt fit right so they had to make the wires go in more and the flaps that covers the wires so you dont see a hole inside your truck is off. they couldnt put it back together because they made it wider so it wont fit on right. if that made any sense. but it was difficult for them but they got it done. i have no problems as of yet. its been like 7 months so far that i had em. only thing is that once you open the truck you see the holes on the sides and can see the wiring. but thats ok no big deal. i would go to a shop and have them do it. i dunno thats just me though. i trust a shop that is professional then me lol.
LOL.. Hum I install them but I haven't put the Blinker light all the way in.. it fits but and blinker is being held by the plastic that is bloking it.. I haven't decided if I wan't cut that piece of plastic yet, I want to be able to close those two pockets without seen any wholes..
Your best bet is to buy TYC's in the future.I had the APC simulated c/f look and had the same problem with fitment.
I also had APCs that fitted like crap and made it so I couldn't put the plastic covers back in. My APC's started coming apart at the seams after I had my body kit put on so I got the red TYCs and they fit great. Finally got to put those plastic covers back in after riding around without them for about two years.
The latest gen APCs may be better fit, but they look awful. Get the TYCs.
Do you guys know other lights that would fit perfectly?? besides the stock ones!!!!!
TYC fit perfect. took me 2 minuts (not exagerating) to install them
It takes atleast 10 seconds to remove each screw to pull your stock lights out. You have to do six of them, theres 60 seconds right there. Maybe your exagerating a bit???
Installation Of APC Carbon Fiber Tailights By Marc Michaud[/b]
PLEASE NOTE: These pictures are taken after I actually performed the install. I am not responsible if you mess up.
[b]Parts Needed[/b]
10MM Socket 10MM Wrench Masking Tape Needle Nose Pliers Scissors A Stool helps too
Before you start you should know that you will cut some of the plastic in the trunk.
[b]Installation[/b]
1) Open your trunk and take off the plastic covers that hide the back of your taillights.
2) Disconnect All the Bulbs ( Do not touch the actual bulb & remember which bulbs are for what) Place them aside so they do not get in your way.
3) The Tailights are held on my 3 10mm bolts. One isn't visable So please look at this picture CloneGTS Took it shows the locations of the bolts.
4) Start on the left one first. After you remove your stock tailight. Take the Carbon Fiber Tailight and place the bulbs inside them. Make sure they are secure. Place the Carbon Fiber Tailight in place & you will notice that the bulb locations are moved and the plastic gets in the way. You will have to cut some of the plastic off so it will fit. Take your time and cut because i rushed and its not straight edged. Make sure you cut enough of the plastic off so its not in the way. After thats all done hand tighten the bolts and make sure all the lights work. Tightened the tailights so moisture cant get in there.
5) Remove the right taillight the same way as the left one. Put the bulbs in and verify where you have to cut the plastic. Cut the plastic and try to place the tailight in. You will notice that it doesnt fit properly. I took it out and notice that the upper right hole isnt big enough. I just took needle nose pliers and stuck them in the hole and twisted. This will widen the hole enough for the tailight to fit better. You could also use a drill but i didnt have one. Tighten the bolts and check that all the lights work.
6) I notice that the lights had somes gaps where water could get in. I used some duct tape and taped around the inside of headlight. No moisture has gotten in but i would put the tape to make sure.
7) You cant place the plastic covers back on. But its worth it because they look nice. Well, your done check it out. If you have questions please email at [email]MisterX225@aol.com[/email] i will be more than happy to your questions.
