Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Anyone have an 2004 GTS with AEM CAI?

I am just curious because I just installed it on Memorial Day everything was running fine until that night and the CEL came on. Did anyone else have there CEL come on when they installed it on there '04? I tried using the "search" feature but when I typed in "AEM" I get random stuff that doesn't have anything to do with an Intake.

yep happened to me, east problem to fix. the hose that they give you that runs from the CAI towards the cone of the of the piece that runs up to the CAI higher up on the CAI is too short and gets a bend in it that trips an o2 sensor.

it is the first pic and the black hose in the middle of the shot. just buy a longer hose and the problem with go away in about 70 miles

I GOT AN '04 GTS W/ COLD AIR N DONT HAVE A CEL PROBLEM(KNOCK ON WOOD)...COULD B A LOOSE HOSE

i have an 04 GT but i got rid of my CEL by plugging the blue cable what was hanging loose into the MAF sensor. I had the back on in the MAF by accident. it was my fault i was going to fast w/o reading the instructions. other then that check all cables. make sure all of ur tubes are securely tight. then fill up ur tank and ur good to go...
