Hey man...it sounds great that way...

Basically it bounces off the rear window and sounds great thumbsup

Its all sound pressure so in theory it shouldnt matter in a hatch back thumbsup

yeah. it doesn't matter which way they face. the soundwaves are non-directional. i've been putting a sound system in my car for the past 6 or 7 months, and i've had lots of problems b/c i ordered all the shit online. warning: don't order from gopcplus.com. first amp they sent me was used. second one looked new, but it burned one of the voice coils on my sub, and i found out that it was remanufactured after i sent it into kicker. if you order online. try to make sure the site is an authroized dealer. i'll post pics of my set up in the trunk. it's clean. and from what i've seen on the forum, it's saved the most trunk space out of any other set up. (it's one 12, and that big ass kicker amp in the pic).

i think my subs sound a lot better facing up rather than in any other direction. Plus, they look great! thumbsup

that does look good. i would want to have the subs way lower into the car though. like i guess i'll have my box be wide instead of deep.
