Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior how do subs sound facing straight up in a Celica?

if i had a sub mounted straight into the floor facing up... how would it sound this way?

Basically it bounces off the rear window and sounds great

Its all sound pressure so in theory it shouldnt matter in a hatch back

I dont think it would make a difference Aren't soundwaves from a sub non-directional.

yeah. it doesn't matter which way they face. the soundwaves are non-directional. i've been putting a sound system in my car for the past 6 or 7 months, and i've had lots of problems b/c i ordered all the shit online. warning: don't order from gopcplus.com. first amp they sent me was used. second one looked new, but it burned one of the voice coils on my sub, and i found out that it was remanufactured after i sent it into kicker. if you order online. try to make sure the site is an authroized dealer. i'll post pics of my set up in the trunk. it's clean. and from what i've seen on the forum, it's saved the most trunk space out of any other set up. (it's one 12, and that big ass kicker amp in the pic).

^^^yes make sure its a authorized dealer or you aren't gettin anything if something goes wrong.

i think my subs sound a lot better facing up rather than in any other direction. Plus, they look great!

that does look good. i would want to have the subs way lower into the car though. like i guess i'll have my box be wide instead of deep.
