Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Carbon fiber...

Im obsessed with making cars lighter, i was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that make carbon fiber fenders,trunks,bumpers,dashes/glove box..and so on...
If not anyone know a good place that makes carbon fiber products that i could get in touch with.

i i was wondering the same thing, but when i checked into it no one really make Carbon Fiber trunks or fenders, just hoods. our cars aren't exactly super cars so no one has really taken intrest to it. but fenders don't really weigh much any way, so if i wre you i would have some Carbon Fiber place custom fabricate you a trunk, then get light weight plexiglass to replace most of your window and strip the interior of you car. that will shave a lot of your weight and 1/4 mile time.

i think there is a place in the City of Industry, CA but i don't know for sure, just do a search on the net, i'm sure you'll find one in NY. don't be suprised if you get a four figure price. custom Carbon Fiber fabrication is expensive, plus you have to supply the orginals.

thanks, i already did a search but i got nuthing, just abunch of places that sell carbon fiber hoods and such but dont make em themselves or whatever... o well im gonna keep lookin

Have you checked out IPT MOTORSPORTS [iptmotorsports.com] ??

They don't make all of the pieces you mentioned, but they do make some really neat under the hood and interior pieces.

I hope you know that would be extremely expensive to replace all of the parts listed above w/ carbon fiber...

hey just buy a new viper gts r, they' re all carbon fiber anyway...lol just kiddin man.

Ill probobly just stick w/ a carbon fiber hood...

APR sales a lot of carbon fiber, dont know how much for the celi, but the GT300 ceilica has a lot of APR CARBON FIBER ALL OVER THE CAR.
