Has anyone had any luck programming their keyless-entry remotes, for a '00? I have been using the TSB that was posted in here, however, only steps 1-10 seem to work, 11 & 12 do not.

At the top of the TSB it only lists the Toyota models from '01 - '03, so maybe this is the issue. Someone else also mentioned that you need to reset a green button on the RS3200...

Anyone have any ideas?? confused

What do you mean by "programming"? I have a 2000 and i redid my locks so they all unlock on one beep. Are you trying to do this or are you doing one of the other programming things for the RS3200 in the install section?

I've got the SAME problem.

I can't program the passive arm (the car locks after 15 secs its SOOOO stupid) or the ignition door locks...

I did, however, program the all doors on one press feature...

I have just purchased the vehicle, however, the keyless-entry doesn't work. Apparently, they said that when they replaced the batteries in the pad, it stopped working.

I am trying to "re-program" the car to the keyless-entry pad, not change the settings as listed in the install section.

Can the dealer fix it?

The passive arming can be extended to 30 seconds. Were you using the procedure in the installs? (I believe it also shows you how to do this in the RS3200 manual)

I'd imagine the dealer could fix my problem, although, based off another thread in here, they'll charge you ~$30. thumbsdown

My passive arming was messed up by the dealer when they reset my check engine light...

They will be fixing it FREE, since I've been in a couple times for crap they caused.

besides extending this to 30 seconds, you can also just open your door and close it again. This will break the circuit and keep the passive arm from coming on. It's annoying to have to re-open and close the door once you get out.. but most of the time, I would think, you would WANT the passive arm on.

that's true.. I hate the auto-on headlights, passive arm alarm, and also my roof closes after you turn off the ignition.. that's a pain in the ass on a nice sunny day. You can't keep it open without having the car on. Oh well, at least you can't accidentally leave it open and have your leather seats ruined by the rain.

Wow. Is that something new in the '03? eek

I can leave it open in any position, regardless of whether or not the key is in the ignition.

I'm not sure.. I didn't even know it was on the car when I bought it. About a week later, I parked and got out of the car, then realized the weird noise I was hearing was my roof automatically closing grin

Noone has the keyless programming guide for the '00s? (Adding a remote, not changing settings for RS3200)

I went into Toyota to ask them, and they started telling me all this legal stuff. 'That procedure is Toyota's property, and you aren't allowed to have it', and, 'Whoever told you about it should get sued'. rolleyes

The funny thing is, that he was trying to take the TSB that I had printed out away.. wtf? wtf

Yes, I have the same book. What it doesn't list is how to sync up the remote keypad to the RS3200. I have to use my key to lock the car, because the buttons on the pad do not do anything. confused

I thought there was a dealer programming codes or something in the tech section...

Sorry if you already looked at that, I can't recall exactly what it was and included.
