It's not pointless to Turbocharge an automatic tongue. You'll just need extra acessories. (Like a Turbo timer, even though manual drivers use this, as well.)

Hell, you can even get a custom Turbo kit fabbed smile.

Exactly, but I agree the SF Turbo is the best.

actually i wish this thread was more elaborated, because im one of those regretful owners with a GT automatic transmission when i didnt know jackshit about cars 4 years ago and just bought it for affordable looks...anyways..its pretty tuff to decide of spending another 3.5-4Gs when you can use that money to trade in and use it for a downpayment for a more powerful car.

xplodeloadz - true that.

I have the same car and I got it for looks and quality.

But if I were to decide on getting Turbo or an SC, I'd choose the Turbo. Turbo kits cost less than the TRD SC and it has more gains HPwise. Though I wouldnt mind going all out on TRD Performance.

(Off-topic) BTW have any you people seen a full spec TRD celica? other than the M-Sport. (too bad TRD doesnt have a CAI for the celica) Oh yeah, I do realize that buying TRD parts are way more expensive than most aftermarket parts.

Benefits to superchargers is that it's more passive. Easier to tune, and whatnot.
