I was wondering does anyone have it installed, the hotchkis TVS, I have read the news and researched it for a while. I am going to either get it ordered next week or a complete coilover system, like the Jic Magic or tein or the B&G speed sensitive coilover. any fed back would but great. all I have right know is some hotchkis springs

A while back there was a member who had this set up and he was pretty happy with it. He said that it made the car handle better than stock & the ride wasn't too stiff. But there's no comparison between coilovers & springs, coilovers will outperform springs. What you have to think about is can you put up with a stiff ride? Coilovers will be a stiffer ride, but it'll make the car handle like it's on rails. Springs with give you a smoother ride, but they won't handle as well as a coilover set up.

There's been a couple of people who have complained about their Tein coilover struts blowing out, so I would go with JIC or Tanabe.

What do mean the struts were "blowing out" what happened to them. I thought tein was a really good suspension company. Is the ride with the competion TVS pretty rough, or is it bearable.

Blowing out as in the struts dont work anymore and not blow out like they explode grin I dunno, the struts just go bad really soon. That's what some peole have said and if you call Tein, they'll tell you to just buy new coilovers.

As for the TVS Comp ride...it's gonna be pretty stiff. Even if you turn the dampening to the softest setting, you're still gonna feel every bump 'cuz that's how coilovers are. One way to eliminate this is to get a taller tire. Like when I had my 15" stock wheels, I never felt the bumps, but when I got my 18's, I feel every bump on the road. So if you want a smooth ride, I would go with a 15/16" wheel...maybe a 17", but with a tall side wall.
