Well, here's how my day went. I was on my way to Six Flags Great america & about 3/4 of the way there I heard a nasty noise coming from the driver side. I'm thinkin' ...oh shit the plastic cover under the engine fell again. So when I have a chance I exit the highway & check it out. Not only did the front part get loose, but the whole damn thing was hanging & rubbing against my wheel & the ground! So my nephew & I decide to make it to the amusement park since I didn't have any tools with me & right before we got there the whole entire wheel well plastics got caught on the driver side wheel & the whole damn shit just ripped off!!! I looked in my rear view mirror & saw other motorists swirving so that they don't hit the debris I left behind!!! Those were a couple of pretty big chunks of debris that came from my car! Well anyway, I park my car at Six Flags Great America embarassed as hell from the scraping noise that the remaining piece was doing on the way there. After parking, I do a check & see that the whole wheel well of the driver side is gone!!! Only thing left is the plastic piece right underneath the engine. Scraping the ground I might add. To top it off it looks like my Kaminari kit is falling apart!!! Man, I'm so pissed. Well anyways, I took 11 pics when I got home. PLEASE WAIT WHILE ALL 11 PICS ARE POSTED BEFORE POSTING ANY COMMENTS!!! Thx.
I think Toyota really did a shitty job when it comes to the underbody plastic pieces. So many people have problems with them. It happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Mine is being zip-tied together now.
Really BAD reality TV is the reason I stopped watching MTV.
i bought some of those little snap thingys because they always break, $2.50 each from toyota. its expensive but at least they keep the plastic on...for awhile anyway.

similair thing happened to my car just the other night... was on the highway, was going quite fast and went over a bridge & bounced, my tyre hit the well & smashed it up a bit & was making the worst noise. called my mate up & we pulled over but i was able to tear off the noisy bit for the ride home...
my friend reckoned my wheel fitter should have taken the well off when i got the bigger wheels fitted do they serve much of a purpose???

dude I know losing your plastics sucks but did you have to take so many photos? jebus
Damn Stephen I was just trying to document in detail things that might happen to Celica owners. This is ECelica ya know. I just wanted to be informative. Damn. Shit does happen. I was just trying to be informative. Damn.
all i can say is: Been there done that!!..and it happened 3 months after i boughty my car NEW! but, in my case i hit a piece of tire on the highway left by some truck. so, my driver side wheel well only has have a cover and i lost my stock front spoiler along with it too...no worries the cars works... Try looking in a salvage yard for some replacements...i know i am.
Damn dave i feel for ya bro, that shit happened to my plastics on the way to the And1 Mixtape Tour, i just tied it up with some spare wire i had in my trunk, gonna just take them off once i go back to the body shop. hope it gets ok for you bro.
The same thing happened to me with my car, but not until my boyfriend was fitting my kit on... So he just cut it off. Is that bad? Will it do any damage to the underneath of my car?
Once said by a wise man..."i am too metrosexual for my own good"....you know who you are...
there is construction every summer. Same roads too...its never ending. Some of my earliest memories is driving to Wisconsin and driving past those yellow barrels...thats how I knew we were going to Wisconsin Dells each summer, from seeing those barrels.

have you ever been to "bong recreation park" lol its like on the border of IL and Wisconsin
man that's horrible... at least there was no major damage to anything else. You should have taken the wheel well out the first time you stopped rather than having it be a potential danger to other drivers later...
Never had a problem with the drivers side but the part the covers the oil pan always comes off on me, find it hangin by one screw, now I just leave it off.
My passenger side plastics came off a few weeks ago while driving here in Germany, it was so embarrasing driving onto a military instalation with all of the guards and shit out there looking at my car like it was gonna blow up or something becuase of the obnoxious noise that was comming from the plastics scraping against the pavement. And I looked into replacing them, the price is rediculous!
That sucks, but how was Great America?? I want to go this year but its always the same sh*t and gets boring
I had an awesome time. It was the company picnic. Once I got off the Batman & Vertical Velocity rides I had forgotten about the car. Thx for the comments everyone.
My plastic shield on the front bumper area were fliped down and I draged it around.. I just cut off the front area to the lower chassis... Also my grill fell off from the action packaged front bumper.. It sucks bad... and it looks bad without the grill...
