I have a couple bird stains on my car. I've been told rubbing compound would help remove it. Does anyone know if that's true or if there's another way?
i just use bug and tar remover for cars, it says it also waxes the paint as it cleans. been working fine for me. I also try to clean off bird droppings asap!
Ask yourself one question. Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Yeah Pressure washer at the Local carwash works wonders. Gets them damn pesky bugs off too..
Is it really a problem? Did bird in question crap on your car 9 months ago and your car has been in the sun ever since?
Worse case just use Bug and Tar remover
I sware we have fugging condors where I live, Most mornings I have to spray off my windshield just to do to work. Its never the rest of the car, just the Windshield.
i think most of you are thinking that i'm talking about the bird crap itself. i meant the stains that it leaves after washing it off.
there was shit on my fender at work while it sat in the sun as soon as i got home to wash it off, it was too late. i guess ill try that tar remover.
Ah, okay. That makes much more sense. I thought you were trying to basically wash your car with rubbing compound.
Try some rubbing alcohol, seriously. That stuff is non-abrasive but removes pretty much anything. If that fails, try just waxing it with something good like Mother's... or clay bar.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you
Yea i have more than one permanent spot on my car thanks to the birds. I just leave it alone. Some how its like corrupetd the paint. Not a stain but like mest up the paint. it sucks
I just got hit-up the other day too. There was a group of them and I was by myself. Two hit the front winshield one hit the back. My car took a little beating, but it's aight.
If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.
lol. Well since bird droppings not only contain fecal matter, it also contains their urine. I just spray it off with water. I guess waxing it often also helps.
