a supercharger is constant wear on your enigne because it is constantly running, but it has a lower amount of wear than "nitrous" does...nitrous is probally one of the worst things for your engine...it has the most wear and tear...
but then again anything can be bad for your engine...from running it hard to corrosion
(also...i am going to be getting a supercharger in the future...but i dont mind a little wear on the engine )
im thinking of going extreme with my car and doing something to the engine either nitrous or supercharger... but I am torn because i want my car to last as long as possible!
Ask yourself one question. Is the juice worth the squeeze?
supercharging will do nothing for your speed. supercharge your car and you will still be slow.
turbocharge your car and you can be fast as you want to, with traction limitations of course. and if you take care of your car correctly(more frequent oil changes, letting the car warm up/cool down, frequent checks of parts, etc.), the Turbocharged engine should last as long as the car.
turbocharge eh? interesting... I have remote start so I always warm up my car every time, I get my oil change every 3000 miles, very frequent maintenence. Since I already do that it would be no change at all.
Is Turbocharging more expensive than supercharging?

Where you people getting your info As he said, if used sparingly and responsibly...a good Nitrous set-up (properly installed) will not greatly reduce the lifespan of your engine Trust me...if it did, it'd be a pretty common fact. Dollar per HP, Nitrous is the least expensive way to get the most HP. I don't have it but if you want it and use it properly, all the power to ya
