So I was driving around tonight when this guy in a S2K motioned for me to roll down my window... he let me know my right headlight was out. Poor MTECH only lasted for a month. Nonetheless, I know why. The right bulb was the one I nearly dropped during the install... and caught with my bare hand. They aren't kidding about not getting skin oil on the bulb. Ah well. Back to the stockie until I pickup a new one (or HID?).

shoulda beat down the driver of the S2K for bringin you that bad news. j/k sucks though

That really sucks. Next time wear latex gloves so you don't get any oil on the bulb or just save up & get HID.

Well I'm going mod-crazy tomorrow morning at Autobach's... perhaps I'll let the CD changer wait and just order a set of HIDs.

HID > cd changer any day of the week

one of my MTECH fogs are out and ive already had to replace the lows once.

remind me next time we hookup, ill take care of you with a complimentry new set

question on MTECH's ... ok if i get the whole package.. do i have to take my bumper off to get @ my fog lights? i still have stock.. it bothers me a bit b/c i have hyperwhite everything except for fogs.. i was gonna get a set of piaa's which never happened...

just get new MTECH's...

had them long ago. they are not white as PIAA extreme white or MTECH...

also putting in the fogs are so bad.. if you have small arms/hands then getting to them with just moving the wheel well plastic should be fine.. but i have to take off the bumper.. ahh well

My MTECH's are going strong. I'm sorry for your misfortune on the bulb.

save up for HIDs regardless... trust me, it's worth it

Yeah the oil is no joke, My MTECHs are over a year old still going strong.

I took my bumper off to change the fogs. I find it easier than reaching around blind. Next time I change my low beams I'm goign to pull the headlights. Probably take 10 minutes instead of an hour pissing around with those damn clips.

I like my MTECH's. I was going to put my MTECH foglight bulbs into my new bulbs. The swapover was going good, until I stepped on one of them. POP. DAMN! LOL oh well. Here's a pic.

NO I had the correct MTECH bulbs in my stock fogs in this old pic. Actually now that I think of it they were an MTECH style, but the bluish one with japanese writing all over the package. The matched really well. Now I just have the stock bulbs in the walmart fogs.

man that sucks...skin oil is something to look out for next time, my MTECHs are still shining brightly
