I am in a very bad situation. I messed up a wrist pin in my engine, Just to pull the engine and get it fixed is going to cost 1200-1500 dollars (for a 10 cent part). While the engine is out and opened up I was going to upgrade the pistons, connecting rods, ring, ect. Just wondering by doing this will i have to buy a stand alone fuel management system, clutch, fuel rail, fuel pump. or will stock ecu be able to handle this. oh yeah while the engine is out i already bought the t3/t4 turbo to put in. I can afford to do engine internals and such, but cant afford to do all of that if it has to be done. that would cost 10,000 dollars. I just dont want to throw a turbo on without some internal work being done,,, just wondering what anyone thinks

What is a wrist pin? You are supposed to change the ecu and fuel management system when you get a turbo. You will not need to with just internal work but in order to tune your turbo, you will need that. Have you got bigger in jectors yet? You may want to get a fuel pump also to help out.

you can get new rods and pistons as long as you keep your stock compression. If you raise or lower it, things will be different.

wrist pen is the pin connecting the piston to the connecting rod (so i am told) i have the bigger rc injectors, have not got the fuel pump yet, i am just thinking of buying a stock engine and put back in it because, because i will have 10 grand in it by the time i do the fuel pump, fuel rail, bigger fuel lines, pistions, rings, connecting rods, stand alone, clutch, man that sucks guess you go all the way or nothing at all

just curious what would i benifet from aftermarket rods and pistons if i kept the same compression. my goal is to be able to run turbo around 20lbs without worrying about messing with the engine
