I just got a new tranny 15000 miles ago and it always randomly crashes in 1st and 6th. Feels like in these gears the transmission does not disengage. I remember someone else complaining of the same thing and they said that just like mine their problem was worsened when they added a Performance clutch and flywheel.

https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_57282_0_collapsed_2__1.htmllook at that..although it's for fixing the squeaky problem but it might help a lil.. or you can go buy 3quart of Redline MT90 transmission fluid and change it like you would change ur oil..i heard u'll get smoother shifting..but don't know if it will solve ur sticky problem..There's also a guide in the Install page that show you how to change ur Tranmission fluid..take a look..

my reverse is like that...it goes *KLUNK* when i shift a little hard..but to prevent that, i shift very slowly, or put it to 3 then back to Reverse.

I just went ahead and brought the car to toyota. The geniuses made a mistake when they put my tranny back together and that is where my oil leak is coming from. It fried a synchro. That was crashin my gears. Shit. No oil bad.
