I did an "add a circuit" and plugged it into the power door locks fuse in the footwell. This way I can turn them on with or without the key. Just go to Pep Boys and look for a MINI Add A Circuit, about 9 bucs. Then go from there.

i wired it to my gauges that turn on bythemselves when the headlights turn on... so now when the headlights turn on, my gauges do too and my neons do... and then i added a switch so i could turn off the neon

how about just connecting them directly to the battery?

yeah but I am hooking up for different neons. Doesnt that mean that I have to run 4 different lines to the battery? That would just be too many wires goin through the firewall!

You prob dont want to get into runnin wires to your battery if you really dont need to.. I have two 10" neons under the seats and two 3" above the visor all wired together... Connect the all the + to gether and all the - together. Then run a single wire from each set to your power and ground source. I used my head unit, but you can just about use anything that has power to it.. It would also be wise to use a switch so you dont kill the life of the neon...I pulled the part out of my ash tray out and have the switches all there...Good luck!

they are interior neons...If you using your stero(only if you have a after market one) just pull it out and look for the red wire and black wire...If your going to use the cig lighter if you pull that out youwill see a red wire connected to a plastic part that can be pulled off the back of the cig lighter...tap into that red wire for +. If you look around the side of the cig lighter there will be a wire connected to a metal peice that is rivited to the side. Tap into that for ground...i can get pics if need be..just let me know..PZ

u could tap into the head unit but i wouldn suggest because of potential for electrical noise (weird sounds that come from speakers when not installed right) just ground it to the metal bars goin through behind the dashboard... theres ground points above the passengers kick panel and theres ground points on the right of the Radio/AC Controls and ground points above the drivers kick panel just look around

You dont have to tap in 4 times...just connect all the + together and all the - together...then from the + set attach another wire and attach that single wire to your power..do the same for the negitive... I think ravertony is right about electrical noise but thats how I have it set up and I dont have any probs..good luck!

oh ok, i thought you were talking about underbody exterior neon. if the glow you are installing are for the inside of the car, just hook them up to a power source that you can find inside.
(since my car came with no power package and no moonroof, i connected the "+" wire to a free fuse space and used the correct fuse to power it!. you know where the stock radio is bolted onto, right? - connect the "-" wire to one of the upper bolt holes, preferebly the upper left.)

Celicabot, See that Connectoer I had that let me run 1 set of wires to the Cig and 1 set to the switch. Jsut use that to connect all your crap into. It jsut takes a twist of a screwdriver I think they are called barrel connectors. (Brainfart) about 2$ at Radioshack.
