I used to have an 86 Celica that I bought new and ran it till last year when it gave up the ghost with 215,000 on the speedometer. The new Celica is everything I hoped it would be. Makes the old Celica look like a Corrola. Good luck!!
lol, I doubt that I would need the speed tho. I like the low end torque. What do you guys think about this Celica that I am planning on getting.
2000 Celica GT 41K Miles Original Owner TRD Springs installed by Toyota when purchased TRD Exhaust installed by Toyota when purchased S2000 Antenna 16" GTS Rims For Sale - $12,000
The low milage plus the TRD aftermarket parts really interest me.
Same here. You had no idea what I had to do to get my check engine light to turn off. Sooo many problems with all Fords.
whoa there how can you make that claim? our ford taurus lasted for ever, till 89-02 (i guess thats not for ever) but all of us grew up in that car, and beat it to shit... it was ausome, and fords are very reliable...and safe
Sultan and Polykarb - It is a stick. The owner seems very proud of the car because he is sticking to his guns and is only lowering the car by $500. It was listed at $12,500. I offered $11,000 to see what he would say, and he said $12K. I made my last offer at $11,500. Have not heard from him. Hopefully he will consider it because I will be down to purchase the car this weekend after work.
And yes, Ford is crappy. Don't tell me about it man. I did not pick the car. I just traded for it so that I can sell it and purchase a Celica under my name. My first Celica went bankrupt alongside my parents...still holding a grudge since I paid about 12K on it.
So good deal right? I was thinking that it is best for me to get a GT instead of a GTS because I really like the low end torque. I hardly speed when I drive anyways (truthfully). I am scared that having a GTS will make me want to tap into Lift and speed like crazy, haha.
Also, another good thing is that, the first few mods I was going to do to the Celica once I get it was to put the exact same mod that is on that Celica I was talking about. The same exact brand and everything. So that basically saves me time and more money. And the low milage is a big plus since I will be using the car to drive back and forth to my college which is about 1 hour away, I need something with low milage.
So I am not getting ripped off if I buy the car for 12K right?
Well, I made the claim because I experienced it. I also spoke to A LOT of Focus members from different boards and they too have the same EXACT problems. Even when I was at the dealership, I overheard customers complaining about their check engine light. Not to mention that the Focus has a really long list of recalls.
I tried giving the car a chance to be something. But no matter how much I tried, the car is just a POS. There might be a few Ford that are better than another, like the Stang and etc. But I am talking about the Ford Focus series.
Just type up Ford Focus Recalls on Google and you will also be surprised.
When I checked up on the Check Engine Light on Google, I was shock on how many people experienced the same exact thing.

even if you get it for $12K, it sounds like a great dea, especially with the mods it has... good luck -
In average, say that if you have no connection whatsoever in terms of getting the parts for that Celica that I was talking about. Including parts and installation by a mechanic, how much would it cost?
This is for: TRD Springs + Installation + Wheel allignment GTS Rims + Tires + Installation TRD Exhaust + Installation
Okay so basically I am purchasing the GT for $10,700. Not a bad price considering its mileage. It looks very well maintained too.
I asked for his VIN so that I can run Carfax real quick. But yeah, a GT will satisfy me since I want to spoil it a bit at times by getting it better Gas. If I was to own a GTS, I do not know if I can afford the Premium. Here in Cali, the gas prices is 2.50 for Premium...
focuses are either ugly or bad performing cars. the new ones. lol. there suppose to be more powerful and better looking? just saw one today. i would prefer looking at walls than seeing the new focuses on the streets.
we have always had trouble with ford but to each there own congrads on the celica
hey thats a 20 minute phone call "if i have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" derek: do you know that non dairy cream is flamable Jennie: ...derek..what did you do
and the gas thing?! I love when i go to the gas station and I have to put premium in my celica. I dont know about you guys who can relate who have GTS's

Hahaha..I know what you mean..I feel all important when I pull up the 94 octane. lol
I have not heard nothing about the guy that is selling the GTS. The guy that is selling the GT with the TRD mods is sticking to his guns for 12K. Even said that there is someone that test drove it and will make their final offer tonight. I told him that I will pay 12K straight up if he gives it to me. And no response from him yet.
I am calling the guy that is selling the GTS tomorrow after work. Hopefully I will hear some sort of a good news...
