when does it make this sound? When you are driving or after you are driving.

when im stopped mostly but now a piece fell off the end and its hangin, the piece that fell off is like a steel pole that attaches to the end of the tip of the muffler

I just know my magnaflow muffler sounds funny only after I just start up my car and rev it (but only sometimes). Maybe it just needs to get warmed up? But then it goes away after a little bit. btw I have a magnaflow high flow cat, no resonator to a round street series stainless magnaflow muffler, sounds racy yet smooth, and not too loud (at least the cali cops don't come after me after I rev at them).

I get my kicks on EC.

i had a magnaflow on my 240sx i used to have, it had that same weird sound, like a popping sound when you got into high rpm's...got the shop to replace it with same one...did the same thing...i never really liked the sound of those for some reason

if you got the cat back version make sure that you ahve the hangers in the rubber grommet parts properly, and that the tip isn't hitting the bumper. Also, the screw clamp that you put onto the pipe where the tip piping slides over the piping coming from the muffler should be reall really tight...if its not super tight then you'll get a little rattle
