Well i went to a mechanic to have my idle problem checked out. My idle randomly drops from 1000-almost dying. So i figured it would be something electrical or fuel. They told me one of my injectors was leaking air and that to fix it they would also need to change the throttle-body gasket. They wanted to charge like 350 bucks. Would this be possible to do myself?

They're full of shit. You can do it yourself.

Take it to another shop. You can disconnect your fuel rail w/o removing your throttlebody or replacing the gasket. It's a simple fix, but make sure to have another stop look at the injectors, and then have a reputable shop either rebuild them or get you new ones.

Double-check the timing.
