Our speaker depth on our celi is 2 1/2 "

but one of the speakers listed in the Infinity speaker guide for the celi is 2 3/4 "

anyone know how we can make this fit for the door speakers and back?

I have a GTS

If you don't re-use the stock plastic housing to mount the speakers, you can make a MDF panel to mount the speaker in, and that adds more than enough room to mount it in...oh yeah, we are talking about the doors right???

yeah, custom is the only way to go with the scenario you're presenting...

- remember the rear mounta are more shallow than the front

cool

thanks guys

what's a MDF

I wasn't sure what's going on coz the infinity site car guide said that the 2 3/4 " depth fit in the celi but the depth listed as 2 1/2 "

I'm kinda confused about that

MDF = medium density fiberboard... basically wood fibers glued under heat and pressure. Most people recommend it because MDF is very well damped acoustically thus making it an ideal material for speaker enclosures
