The gap just happen to be more obvious on the left (driver side). If you look on the passenger side. it's fine.. Maybe I just screwed up putting it on.. kekekek.
Actually, VIS made very good hood in my opinion. I think it fits way better than I expected.. no adjustments at all. You got it from the shop, put it on, and done... within one hour.
Just in case you are buying it from VIS and picking it up yourself... The hood would fit in the trunk of the Celica.
That doesn't go with ur car at all. Thats way to aggressive for a stock body. And if you wanna ruin it more, ya get some hood pins. And i hope you didn't pay n e thing about 450 for that.
Don't you worry about it.. I kinda feel bad that I don't have any front air dam, but I have the rest of the body kit... side skirts, and rear bumper... aluminum wing, 225/40/18 rims, altezza tail light.
Can you even get a replica VIS Invador Hood? And I think If you had a silver Veilside celica and you put the invader hood on and painted it to spec I think that would be a bad ass car. I my self ain't concerned if others think its carbon fiber or not. Its about self gratification I guess you can say. In my opinion that would Just be a very nice looking car if you painted it to match the car. But if your all about the norm or what you feel would be accepted by others then leave it as is. Either way it would be tight looking.

You have 3/4 of ur kit on? Y did you do that? Cuz ur drivin around in a rice mobile right now
celicamix: paint it the same color as the rest of the car. I don't understand why people think it "looks good" to have a different color hood than the rest of the car, to me it looks cheap/ricey that whomever bought the hood could not afford to have it painted. I see no point with installing a hood that is a completly different color than the car. If you want to attract negative attention from cops go ahead and leave it a different color. Sure not everyone will know its a carbon-fiber hood, but why would you want them to know? -- unless your hood is open (btw. I would not paint the underside of the hood just the exterior) this way you can still show it off when needed. This is just my opinion, opinions will vary. LOL to hoods that do not match the vehicle color! So...tacky looking..
If you do end up painting it please post a pic of it painted! I'd love to see it

i will be deleting your post starting today, so im looking forward to see some of your crappy replies on the board, with these kinds of opinions, "Cuz ur drivin around in a rice mobile right now" , keep it to yourself, GOOD LUCK!
you shouldn't paint carbon fiber...unless it's the transparent type of paint that only gives it a hint of color... and wouldn't it be wierd looking if only the top part is painted and not the underside of the hood?... that doesn't seem like it would match at all. it would defeat the purpose of having carbon fiber... carbon fiber is there to show it off , to show that it's lightweight expensive mods. i like the vis hood...leave it carbon fiber

Oh no, i wont have a post count. Thanx i dont really care. And yes driving around with part of a kit is rice. Its just as bad as you guys makin fun of an unpainted body kit on a civic. Sorry yes celicas can be rice also.
Not my type of hood, but it looks alright. All you need now are some hood pins . As to whether or not you should paint, it all depends why you got it in the first place. If it's for looks, then I say paint it so that it matches the rest, but if you got it for performance, then leave it as it is.
Actually, I bought a Veilside front (replica), but I didn't wanna install it, cos it's fiber glass, and I am a lousy driver... I would hit the concrete stop and crack the front... Then I would just waste the bumper and the paint job...
I quite like the original front air dam... so at this point, I am not looking to buy any front. But if I were to buy one, I think I would go for the real TRD front (polyuthrene?), so it won't be cracked too easily. Also, I am not looking to paint my hood. I will just leave it as is. Somebody on this board might not know how the carbon fiber looks... They thought it's some kinda lighter material in black. But it actually has some kinda pattern that reflects lights in a distinctive way. I love the carbon fiber look of it. just my two cents.
I wouldn't paint it, either.. I like the way carbon fiber looks. What about putting the stock hood scoop back on though? Gives a nice contrast with the carbon fiber hood. Just a suggestion
if you got it painted, I think it's going to look weird the same color as the car with the style. Carbon Fiber looks awesome like that and your car is going to kick ass when you get a body kit
and wouldn't it be wierd looking if only the top part is painted and not the underside of the hood?... that doesn't seem like it would match at all.
nahhh, who's going to LOOK at the underside, unless you are showing off that "ooh ahh LOOK! I have a Carbon Fiber hood!" what doesnt match is a black/grey(cf) hood and a blue car? I think the car was blue...
[rant]sorry but this is just another one of those times that I smack myself upside the head because i'm driving a damn rice-mobile...[/rant]

Don't change the color of the hood. Why don't you add a carbon fiber wing from the likes of veilside or apc. It kinda ties in whole look of the car. Then finish it on some shadow black chrome rims. Thats the sorta thing happenin here in the uk!
