Well he applied at toyota about a month ago. well yesterday was his interview. So I guess he got hired. Well he gets ALL toyota cars at cost and the same thing with all parts! Also if you have a toyta you can fill your car up with gas for free at their plant. At cost means he gets the car and parts for what toyota pays for them. ill let ya know if I can get some parts and hook it up! So I will beable to get TRD parts for CHEAP. like practicly giving it to me!
ha ha you do realize he cant hook the whole world up with a discount right? Iknow people who work for toyota and it's not gonna be a easy as you think.
yeah, not the like crash the party but you still wont be able to get stuff that cheap, cheaper yes but not that cheap. my friend works for them and atleast at his dealership you pay cost plus $500. but that also goes for trade ins, so if you trade in your 2001 gts for say 10g to buy an mr2 or something, her will be able to pic the gts up for 10500 when they will try to re sell it for 16k.
My dad doesnt just work like a cars salesman, Hes up there with te big wigs. so yes I can get the parts for cheap. He said somehin like a new celica costs like 20 thousand right? well he can get a new one for under 10! So I can get some pple stuff but their is no way I can ask for 167 exhausts, thats unreal.
DAMN!!! That is so cheap, I want to work for Toyota! Yeah Im really interested in a TRD exhaust for my GTS, so let me know when you start your group buy for it That is really cool tho, Im so jealous
Dealership here in town is hurting for sales ppl. and Im a diehard Toyota fan (Both my cars are/were Toyota) Just not sure If I want to leave my boring Desk job helping stoopid ppl to sale cars LOL... but.. the Discounts...

that is just impossible. neither the gt or the gts cost the dealer less than 10,000
Not be a another buzzkill, but more than likely YOU getting parts cheap will not be that big of a deal. But if you start buying a lot of parts for other people, Toyota will look into that, especially if they are being bought at a discounted price. Toyota would be losing money out of that deal, and could possibly take action against whoever's account the parts were being purchased for, regardless of employment position.
I thought the same thing when I worked at Best Buy, like I would be able to hook a lot of people up with stuff at discounted prices. LoL, definately not the case. But I am happy for you and your Dad. I start my new job at TMMK (Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky) tomorrow, so I know that new job feeling too.

aside from the negative comments, congrats on your dad getting a good job. Hope it works out for him and it would be great if he could pass along the discounts.
potatoes make the world go round!.... french fries, mashed potatoes, gnocchi, hash browns, corned beef hash, baked potatoes, twice baked potatoes, potato cakes...
I see that you are from Florida so I guess your dad got a job with Southeast Toyota Distributors a division of JM Family Enterprises. SET is the only privately owned distributor in the US and covers the Southeast 5 states (FL, GA, AL, NC,SC). Jim Moran (JM) owns 27 automotive companies (SET being one them) and he is credited with being the man who taught Toyota how to sell cars in the U.S. He basically makes $1k for every Toyota sold in the Southeast. As a benefit to employees, you can buy Toyota vehicles and parts for dealer cost. To SET, it doesn't matter if they sell it to the employee at dealer cost or to the dealer at dealer cost; they make the same amount of money. I worked for SET for a few years before the first Gulf War and I still have many friends there. There was an unconfirmed rumor that Jim Moran was the son of the infamous "Bugsy Moran" who was killed by Al Capone's gang during Al's rise to the top of organized crime in Chicago
