Im still trying to diagnose my car not running like she used too..My question is:

You know how when you start ur car for the first time in the morning, you CAI sounds like a snake from hell with blue balls, and after the engine has warmed up and been droven for a while, I can put my ear almost in the wheel well where the CAI is located and I can barely hear it... is this the same with you guys, or can you always hear that hisssssssssssssssssssss when your car is idling after a bit of driving ... confused confused confused

comparing with a stock airbox and a cai, ur car at normal idle should sound a bit different. im assuming ur ear got used to it though and ur cai is definetely working. just gun the car, and hear it urself. if the car sounds nice, then ur cai is working. when you turn on and off ur car, you should hear that psshh noise, and you said you did. so you fine and dont worry about it.

ps
"you CAI sounds like a snake from hell with blue balls"

very graphic but never heard of a snake with blue balls and from hell lol rofl

my does that all the time when i shut off..an i got an ebay Intake, used to be CAI but now i mod it to become a shortram..it's still sound good especially at high rpm and when hitting lift..it'll have to do until i can afford to buy the TPR..

what does CARB legal mean?? i don't live in cali so i doubt it requires check up here in nebraska..i've been driving for 4yrs and dont'; have to go for check up or nthing like in cali...

CARB exempt means that the product has been certified to pass emissions test and stuff... the TPR will pass these tests but it isnt certified and in order for Easy_C (owner of TPR) to certify it he has to spend thousands to get it thru legal processes and inspection.

hopes this helps thumbsup

Mine hisses in the morning, if I'm idling it will some times come one, especially if I have the air conditioning on. Sit there with it off, then when you hit the air, you'll hear it hiss.
