I spend too much money on my car and now im getting older and its time to get another car and leave the import world. I found a 75 vette with 15,000 stock miles on it in MINT condition.(btw the old guy selling it onyl wants 9 gz for it) what do you people say...goodbye celica and hello vette?
here is a pic of it.
pic n/a
all i would do to this is redo the inside..and make sure that the engine is reliable. I mean, its american and its a 75..VERY SIMPLE..any mechanic can work on these parts..and if something goes wrong..jstu gotta replace it..nothign tricky to it. So im thinking of getting this instead and just having a pimp ride. This way i can stop my addiction with ading stuff to my car and being broke..lol now i can focus putting my money into more important things. I am goign to be so sad to se it go..but i think im making the right decision.
I don't know man, I'm just not feeling the mullet, which you will HAVE to have. (by law) hehe just kidding. Those have always been my favorite generation of Vettes.
the celi would be a daily driver and the vette be a nice weekend car.. i mean it would have to be in pristine condtion at only 15,000 for such an old model.. well hopefully you keep both..
otherwise it all depends upon what your really after
LNK "you only need something when you know it exists..then it becomes a want"
hahaha. i would keep the celiand stay home with no internet. that way you wont use any money. i'm just playing. i would just keep my money in a savings account or something
Dude if you mod'd the celi you will soo mod that engine. Is that the years that there was the 427 big block in them???? If so man there is so much power to be had, hell even if it is the 350 mods are dirt cheap and the engine is soooooooo easy to work on. Get the VETTE
i say get something else, you're going to mod anycar...and plus, if you're smart enough, you can keep yourself from modding it and know what's necessary.
trust me, you are still going to mod that corvette.
it is not about which car you have. it is about the passion.
Exactly.
I like the 'vette overall, even the stingrays.. but if it was me, I'd feel like going from a nice new modern car to a old 70's car would feel like I became a redneck running my noisy ass weight on wheels. I'd keep the Celica, the only 'vette worth a trade is the newer one's.

77 had all that emissions crap. It's cheaper to mod, but the celica is just amazing. I don't like the looks of the stingray. I'd keep the celica, even though rwd does rock.
Vetter > Celica. Parts are cheaper & it's already fast. It doesn't matter what car you get if you can't get it through your head to not go overboard w/the mods.
