Just bought the Black Widow II from Tippy this week and wanted to know what to expect price wise at the body shop, to have it painted and possibly installed? its an 8 piece kit from Ground Designs they say the fitment is perfect so hopefuly theres no adj. to be made when installing. I have some insurance work that needs to be done to my door and rear 1/4 from when my car was broken into, so I know that that will help less'n the blow the total cost. But thought I'd ask anyway just to get an idea of a worst case cost on the paint. thanks
so you think the price would be around 600 including the insurance work? The painter said he could prolly get some of the kit worked into the total cost
they smashed my window, pried the door handle off, dented the roof and rear 1/4 panel, stole the radio/amp/subs, for some reason took the rear trunk tray?, scratch'd the arm rest, put a screw driver to the center console, I think thats about it Nothin to the bodykit, I woulda told ya about it, im not a shady person
its going to be more than 600 because its 8 peices, to get it just painted, probably around 7 or 800ish, i know when i went to a body shop to get the kaminari kit priced for fitment/paint/ and installation they wanted around 1400 but that was from some bastard that didnt like putting body kits on cars but called themselves a "body shop"... so he might have just been trying to scare me away...and as far as fitment on that kit ive heard it doesnt need much work, nearly perfect. gd is a good company anyway from what ive seen
The molding isnt an issue, I can do that( guess I shoulda said that in the first post ) But Im just worried about the cost of the paint, basically the entire cars getting repainted cos of the damage form the break-in so in the worst case if I had to pay totaly outa my pocket for the kit it would run from 6 to 8 hundo?
I want to see pics of this kit. You should sell your rims or something to get some $$$ to fix your ride J/K...well... actually not, I do want them. That is really weird that they took the trunk tray. Was it at your house when it happened? That really sucks
