just bought an AEM CAI with splash cover--has anyone had any problems with the CAI at all. is it a good mod to do or should i go with the short ram insted?

I like the CAI, it has a deeper sound on a celicak don't forget to get a bypass valve, they are MUCH needed on a CAI.

bypass valves dont work, dont get it, use the search and see for yourself, but the heat shield/splash thing will give better Performance and protect it from water splashes

it preforms well with the splash guard on it? noone has had any glitches?

^^ before i get confused you are talkin about the injen heat shield splash guard right that you put on your aem? or if at least its metal because what it does is it deflects heat from the engine which keeps the air thats goin in cooler

^^ before i get confused you are talkin about the injen heat shield splash guard right that you put on your aem? or if at least its metal because what it does is it deflects heat from the engine which keeps the air thats goin in cooler ya the ingen heat shield splash guard fits on the aem cai.--i just heard rumors of people hydro-shocking or having engine errors

from a CAI??? man the filter is placed behind the wheel well..there's no shocking from there..don't worry..there are some case where you might get the CEL pop up on u..both with Injen and AEM..just remember to unhook the battery before you install the Intake..

if you get a CAI you could plug up the holes in the plastic.. check pic below.. i used black silicon and clear plastic

CEL = check engine light on your gauges, it means the ECU has dectected an error/malfunction with your car.. you have to reset your ECU to turn it off.. search the forum for steps on resetting your ECU its easy if you ever get CEL

to reset ur ECU just un hook ur battery for 10mins and then hook it back up..problem solve..if not then clean ur MAF sensor..

thanks for all the help guys!!!! a power FC is a stand alone system you get... and tune every last bit of HP you can outta your engine. this has to be my fav. mod on a celica.
