Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Pics of my DC Sports lower tie bar, not installed yet.

It shines great but its shorter then the integra's application, o well, lets just hope it fits because my exhaust could be in the way. My girl will post the pics in a minute, im actually at work and i left it this morning at her house so shes posting the pics for me.

i was gonna get that at TORC meeting at long beach.
They had one for celica and were asking 110 for it.
And i thought, it was too much money for what it is.
But i'll probably get it for autox, since we need to tighten up the back end

Well the bad news is that i encountered a problem while trying to install it, my aftermarket exhaust(TSRM) is in the way of the right suspension arm bolt . The good news is that i think all i need to do is to buy longer screws at HomeDepot or a hardware store and extend it that way. Hope it works .

^ that sucks, but atleast it looks like it's a simple fix.

What exactly does a tie bar do?

it basically stiffens your suspension for the rear of the car but the reason y i brought dc's lower tie bar was for its bling factor and since my dc sports header is comming soon i hope, then its just something to show off. I rather have the dc logo blinging as oppose to a dc sticker.

Well we finally installed it on my dayz off work. The bling factor is certainly there. We made it fit w/ the tsrm by replacing the short hinge bolts with longer ones. The idea worked and the tie bar is even lower then normal. Performace wise, its great, less sway and i do feel the rear as being stiffer when hiting corners. Good appearance mod too, especially at night when a car is tailgating your rear and sees the bling of the bar. i'll try to post a pic soon.
