here is a pic of most of the parts i've gotten so far for my 3sgte swap (into a 6th gen). this isn't all of the ones that i will have just most of the ones that have come in so far
this doesn't inlude a bunh of stuff, and by the time i get the rest of it i will only have the boxes of all of these parts to show

my mom lost our digi cam so i've been taking pics with a throw away until we get a new one, i have some pics of all the internals opened and strone about but its on the throw away, i took this pic with my uncles digi cam

i think that is about 5k sitting there, mabey a little less but it is at least 3k because that is how much the engine stuff cost, not incl. all the electronics and other stuff

you should put everything one by one, so if something goes wrong you know what it is.
Plus its more fun to put in one by one. So that you have something to do next day.

^^some of it will be like that
but a lot of it won't, i don't think i am going to take apart the engine once to put in rods, then again to put in pistons, then valves, then retainers, then bearings, then valve springs, etc, etc...
that would be a very big mistake, i amdoing everything to the internals at one time, the headgasket alone is $150, i don't want to replace that any more than i have to.every thing from the head to the crank will be replaced(except for the head itself, block and crank(cuz the only one made is $1800 and the factory crank is stong enough))i am not replacing the cams or cam gears because that cam be done later with just removing the valve cover. the radiator has to be put in now too, because the one i had isn't big enough to cool the engine. the gauges will also be installed now because i will need them to moniter the engine, well some of them anyway. the apexi rev speed meter is already installed just being relocated in a permanant spot. the profec-b tt might go on a little later, just depends. the battery box also must go on now, some of the cosmetic stuff i will save for later.
