They just cut the thing to pieces and shredded the interior to fit the jet engine, it doesn't really matter what kind of car it was when they were finished with it, as long as it was aerodynamic. It would have been much better if the overhauled a real celica engine to put out a shit load of power.

I've helped tear apart complete interiors of 2 celicas and put it all back together again. I've also seen them being cut in half 2 or 3 times in the shop I work at. Pretty darn cool.
