Hey I have about $1500 to put into my new GTS. I already have a Injen CAI,sitting in my closet, i was wondering what else i should put in my car. I was thinking about a AMSS Header-Downpipe Combo and a Veilside Exhaust(If thats even possible) what does everyone else think?

Some people claim that the AMSS header does almost no gain compare to stock header, down pipe + straight pipe + Veilside Titanium exhaust may give you some gains then add S-AFC to tune this bad boy and you are set on motor mods.

1500.. and a CAI.. hmm. I'm more of a race car guy, rather than show car guy, if you get what i mean. If you are goin to get an exhaust, make sure, its highflow from the headers back. Just open it up. This should compliment your CAI well. Oh and another good thing is to put cam gears. Change that timing. Take it to a specialist or get advice. Ask them whether to retard or advance your timing, and how much, depending on what kind of performance you want out of your celica. Suspension is also fun. If you want to lower your car, rather than lowering springs, get short springs, and those babies have a motherfricken high spring rate. Personally, im workin on my suspension. I have ordered, lower tie bar, front and back strut tie bar, ground control threaded sleeves, eibach springs and struts.

If you want all out performance..
Get AMSS header DP... and good exaust...
Make sure you tune it too... with S-AFC..
With out tuning.. there is not much gain out of all the mods you gona have...
And then work on flywheel/LSD/Clutch...
Then work on coilover suspension.. etc...

Get:

AMSS Headers
AMSS Down Pipe
TRD or Tanabe Super Racing Medallion Exhaust
Apexi Super Air/Fuel Controller and tune it

That's what I would do with a 1500. Trust me you won't be disappointed thumbsup

I herd something about a $3,$6 & $10,000 turbo kit for the Celica. I don't know who it is made by, but for you who know what I am talking about, What is the difference between the $6 and the $10,000 turbo besides the price? confused

i'd get an exh first. then get an s-afc. i'm not too impressed w/ amss headers or down pipe. seeing that you need a fuel controller to get the most out of it. the headers on the gts are fine for now. no one has gotten a real good dyno for the trd headers yet. but from what i understand, those work well w/ the trd high compr pistons. so with the rest of your money, i'd get some suspension work done (ie springs/struts or coils, sway bars, strut brace, etc) or get a street perf clutch and flywheel.

do all that or send the cash to me!!!

dont get the amss header, from what i have heard and seen it doesnt do much, plus that whole thing about loosing power at lift. with 1500 i would get a good exaust for sure, i got a trd wich you can find anywhere for like 500, and the 1k i would get a trd header and amss downpipe. Well thats what i did but its your choice, just choose well. The air/fuel doenst do to much with little bolt ons. id save up for a power fc, that would do some damage.
