Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior PS1 In My Car

I just had my 7" Clarion screen installed in my Celica last week and want to hook up a playstation one to it. there's a box that drives all the video stuff under my passenger seat so i just want to put the ps1 under the driver seat, run the cables, etc to the box and bring the controllers up through the center console box. Ya, I know, PS2 is so much sweeter but I've got the love for the old school playstation. Any suggestions on how to actually do this...i'm pretty lost on electronic issues. thanks!!!

it looks like my phone, the sprint sanyo camera phone. but hey man. you know that you can play PS1 games on a ps2. so get the ps2. and a lot of people have put them in their glove boxes. so search the gallery for some ideas. plus you could play dvds with the ps2

Id put a PS2.. I cant see you spending over 1g for your deck (assuming, cause it looks like a vrx935 or vrx925). And putting a PS1. Like the man said, you can play ps1 games on ps2. Plus, you will need a lot of space for it to flip open compared to a slide out tray to put in disks. (ps1 are flip open right?)

I got a PSX in my car... its just tossed on the back seat with a black towel over it... I figure that there really isn't enough space for someone to actually sit back there - so I will use it for other things

no one has noticed that there is a game station in the back... heck, its basically invisible because its compact and doesn't waist all the space that the PS2 requires.

PLUS - the psx doesn't get over heated like the PS2 has the tendency to do

thanks for the feedback. yeah, i think it would be cool to get a PS2 sometime but I can get the first one for free, i just hope it isn't too hard to wire in to a power source and stuff...oh, the floormats came with the car and i love them but it'd hardcore when stupid passengers get them mucky. here's a few more pics of the interior before i had the screen put in. the cell phone is an LG TM50 or something like that

yes, it was PSX, then Sony decided to redesign it and call it the PS1 instead. They are currently making a system called PSX that has the capability of doing sooo much. Play, record DVDS, play any playstation 1 or 2 games, and more. It was on IGN.
