On my way to work this morning 2 cops were standing at a stop sign...

So I made my stop the right way... just when I start to go one cops advanced at me and told me they are doing some windows tint checking... so I have to stop on the side of the road cause he want to check my windows...

I have 35% all around...
So he start checking my windows and he told me that to be legal you must let's 70% of the light pass... and at 50% they give us a warning...

But in fact only 31% of the light pass to my windows...

so he gave me a ticket... 148 $

angry angry angry angry angry

Now I have 2 choice... remove my tint in my door's and don't have problem with cops again... or let's my doors tint and take a chance to not have a ticket but I'm sure they are gonna check this all this summer...

what would you do ??

you keep the tint on for as long as you can until the ticket is due.

THen you go to court and say you want a trial. which will give you a longer time you can keep the tint.

Then you go and pay of sum dude at a indepent Inspection place 100.00$ works fine or less if you want too..

a cop cant give 323 tint tickets. so just pro long the court date, then pay off a indepent Inspection place and go to court and show them the paper stateing you pass inspection and you removed the tint...keep that shit on...

If the law says that 70% of the light to pass, then you might as well remove the tint & get legal tint instead 'cuz you're just gonna be asking to get pulled over.

Ravadude,

Uhm he can give you as many tickets as he/they want, you are still breaking the law. So what you are saying is, if i am speeding one night, fight it and prolong it i can't get 323 speeding tickets. The only way you can't get pulled over 1 hour from the first ticket if they give you a fix-it ticket then you have X amount of days to fix it and prove to the law that you are legal otherwise you can get pulled over again. Trust me i know i was pulled over for my tint twice in one day and was fined twice.

Thats incorrect. Tint is a fixit ticket, not a moving violation. As long as you provide proof of correction for the first ticket, all other tickets for the offense are thrown out. You might still need to pay a fee on the first ticket however.

Probably gonna remove the 35% in the door and put some 50 % on them...

That way I'm gonna be more legal... it suppose to be a warning at 50%...

Hope it gonna still look good... rolleyes

35% isnt legal?? where do you live? im in alabama and 32% is legal, anything under that isnt, i had %15 all around, and got pulled over about a month ago, he followed me home so he could come check if it was off the next day or not, i pulled it off the front two and left the back 2 and back, and it dosnt look as bad as i thought, still looks good even. If he didnt follow me home i still would have taken the front two off, i dont want a ticket (had just a warning from the cop). Also if a tinting place puts on illegal tint, you can go and make them take it off and put on legal for free under law, (unless you signed a waiver, then im not sure how that works).

haha, in Nevada where I used to live everyone drives around with 5% limo tint and the cops don't care. that's because the sun is so intense in the desert, good tint is almost as important as water. I don't miss 110 degrees in the shade, and the five minute sunburn. Ever so often though NV had that rare dick cop that gave you a hard time. No offense if anyone's a cop on here. grin
