Classic blunders of toyota ... that they later on fixed.. Nothing really wrong with it but its just work in progress I suppose.

hmm ...

1. The reverse beep on the 2000 models.
2. The orange gauges that really match the green on the console.
3. No grill on earlier editions
4. 02's rev limiter
5. the lighting rod ? now some have the motorized one
6. the pealing Lexan sunroof --> turned glass
7...

Yah, my '01 had no grill on it. A big chunk of metal came across the divided highway & right into condenser. The new condenser, freon & a grill to protect it cost me $650.

Man, I wish that grill would have been there to begin with.

The two WORST were the green LED lights and the reverse beep. I think DRLs are horrible too, but that may be legally required now?

Oh I know... the GT seats are nicer than the GTS seats.

do the only the gts's not have reverse beep? mine is a 00 gt, number 141 and it doesnt have the reverse beep

and my sunroof isnt peeling, nor do i think its even discolored

the trunk light is not near enough light to lite up the trunk

most trunk shocks/struts are not strong enough during the winter, or with aftermarket wings on the hatch.

another flaw are those stupid little plastic pop up screws, or how about all the plastic hardware on the car, just crap!!

Yah, the plastic cover under the motor. The guys at the oil change place ended putting them back on with rasptites & they of course came loose & the thing was dragging. Its in the rafters of the garage now.

You really should put that back on... It's there to stop rocks and shit from bouncing up into your engine bay..

wuts the cure for the sunrioof? how much is it to replace or wut do most of you guys do to change the peeling sunroof?

You can't just scrape the tint off?

waths so wrong with the rev limiter my old celica was 02 and stoped at 7k and if it was not a rev blocker on it i wuddent have had a car now

and the coulor dif on the speedo and consol suck hard the rev beep i dont find so annoying

the beeping is annoying as anything. i can't stand the DRL, and i have no control of fog lights. steering wheel doesn't move forward & back. the stereo wiring for the GTS...

^^ ahh the blunder of a stock amp, i wonder if other factory amps are wired like the gts's

beeping sux for you, but when someone else has to drive your car for any reason, at least they will know they are in reverse!

no control of fog lights? i have a 01 and i can turn them on and off.

I dont mind the guauge colors not matching the console because im gonna eventually change my gauge face anyway... but I agree those little plastic snap on things SUCK so bad.
stock brakes are kinda weak too
i dont like em at all... hence future mod...>TRD big brake kit!

I always tell valet people, "the beep is your friend" I cant count how many times my car has almost been driven through a wall or another car cause idiots try to reverse in 6th gear. lol even after being told you know this is a 6spd right?

I always say to back up, put the stick where you think first should be and when you hear the beeping you're good to go.

every one has that control, i think they were talking about drls, they are not fogs...

or perhaps they mean turning on the fogs without having to turn on the headlights.. (which is illegal in Ca)...

nah, what i meant was i have to turn on the low beams to be able to turn on the fogs. example, you can't turn on your fogs without your headlight are on...

^^ thats true, was your control to turn the fogs on without the headlights on, stock?? maybe they made this "improvement" for a short time or something... who else has this option/capability??
