All they do is change the look of the car, nothing else. cool Some manufacturers claim that added safety is another reason to make the switch, but I don't see it. confused

I looked through all the "euro tails" available for the 2000+ Celica and liked the APC Eurotecs the best. They cost me about $185+tax at my local performance shop. thumbsup

You can also get them at JC Whitney...

You can pick up Celica euro style tail lights on e-bay for about $125. Just be sure to check the seller feedback carefully.

From all the things I have read over the last 4 months about celica mods (a scary amount) one of the top brands for what you want is Elegante (punch that into Google). They will run you about $200 but aer known to never leak - a common problem in cheaper tail lights.

Altezzas change the appearance of the rear...usually better and more stylish than stock tail lamps. Such manufacturers of aftermarket tails are APC, TYC, and Yangson. I have the TYC black housing tails...TYC has the best quality and looks of all. grin

APC = CrAP

If you'd like I have a set of generations 2 altezzas that are taking up space here, I'd sell them for $60 shipped.

Silver celi...usually anything looks good with it. Whatever color scheme you go for should help decide. And each of those things has a light in it just about. You will see when you get whatever ones you want. DON'T get APC. Poor quality and you have to cut away at the rear panels to plug in a light...other you do not have to do that.

i agree. i do like the look of altezzas. take this advice, i have the carbon fiber apc altezza's, and the fit is bad. you either have to cut or take off your trunk panels. also, the glue(must of been real cheap glue) they used on the outer cover gave way and started to let water in so i had to buy some clear silicone sealant to fix it. here is a pic of the carbon fiber apc altezzas on my car.
