Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Black Rims?

Hey, i've had some friends tell me that some black rims would look good on my red gts, but i need some advice from fellow celi owners. Also i need tha hookup with some good sites to find wheels at, that would also be helpful.

I am getting black rims for mine...

Wheelmax.com has a lot to choose from. Should browse around to see if you can get cheaper price, but you can look up different rims from there. A lot of the Exel rims looks nice.

I got a red celica as well and i always thought that either white or chrome would look the best on my ride, black kinda gets hidden in the tire color so the design of the rim might not be so noticable. But hey, look around see if you can find one with black rims and remember its your car and as long as you like it its right.

Black rims are AWESOME! Gunmetal rims are awesome too!

Sorry, but I have to disagree, I think black rims look like over-glorified Spare tires, the black just looks cheap. However gunmetal is a nice color or Alloy, but black...sorry, looks like you forget your hubcap at home.

Black / Gunmetal rims look sick on white rides! My boy's got a CRX SI with gunmetal rims and it really looks clean.

that is true...not if you buy a high gloss black or a black toned differently than the tire. I think they look hot...plus get colored calipers and it will make the wheel stand out more.

I agree Black rims are starting to grow on me, I used to not really be fond of them...but lately i've been seeing some done really tastefully

yeah some black rims to me just look like there really aren't any rims, just a spare tire look or something, but the black with a shiney or glossy look is pretty sweet!

You should get black or c/f with a polished lip. Thats sick.

If i get aftermarket rims, I'll get black or gunmetal.
