I just got a set of hankookh405's 235 40 17's for my 17 x 8inch rims, Is there any reason why these shouldn't fit before I have them shipped up here?

They will fit, but... Hankook sucks.

trade them and get some yokohama parada's spec 2 they will fit and run way better...

the hancooks got a 4.5 rating out of 5 which was better than most others, that's why I got them. I think it was car and driver magazine or something

hankook tires suck i havent seen a set that perform yet althought thy emay not have ben that model.
but yes that tire size will fit youcould even fit 245/45/17 if you wanted to.
but make usre you have 35mm offset to make it all work perfect.

I use Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole -Position 215/45/17's on my GT, and they are unbelievable

Dont listen to them I have a set of 235/35/19 Ventus and they perform very well
