I'm going to get some dynamat and was wondering what the big difference was between the regular and the xtreme dynamat. The Xtreme dynamat is a lot more expensive i know that. Which should i get?

That depends on how much power you will be pushing. I would suggest its a waste in a Celi to get extreeme because if you have enough power to utilitze it you will probably blow your hatch window out.

Myself, I don't use the stuff. I'd rather put the money into getting more power.

I used the extreme in my car. Im not sure if there are any sound benefits but i know it can better withstand different temperature ranges and still perform at its peak. If i could do it again i would go to fatmat.com and buy 100 sq. ft. roll of their extreme fatmat for 100 dollars. It is exactly the same stuff as dynamat. Plus its 3 times bigger than the bulk pack from dynamat and wont cost you hardly anything compared to dynamat.

DUDE!!! this is what you gotta do to stop a rattling hatch
#1 GO TO HOME DEPOT
#2 find the cabinetry section
#3 get some of those little rubber dot things you put behind drawers to keep them from smashing the wood
#4 get some of those felt things you put on cabinet doors to stop them from smashing and make them silent.
#5 put the felt things on the ledge that the hatch thing sits on
#6 put those dot things behind your license plate

and FINITO! you should have a lot quieter car, now if it's the ACTUAL hatch itself liek the metal shit, i dunno bout that.

The hatch is pretty difficult to bust, but possible with enough power. I put 600watts RMS to it & the center of the glass moves in and out about an inch. The top of the windshield and roof move about a half inch.

Right under where the glass ends and the metal begins is always shaking and is visable from teh outside. Ive never had a fear of blowing out the actual hatch. And have never heard of anybody doing it so i would think your pretty safe.

In indeed says 1800watts RMS, but I have severe doubts you are actually getting that for $350.

Unless you compete or have REALLY loud systems, regular should be fine. Anything pushing above 1000 watts probably should go xtreme. I don't think you really need it, though. Dynamat does the job.

Class T isn't as efficient, i'm told. Class D is the best. Still gets over 1500 easily. Enough to get a public disturbance notice, probably. rofl
