(Already posted on "New Member") Well, I just picked up my '01 Celica GTS for $14,500 . Now I have to sell my Jeep Wrangler and Suzuki GSXR 600 to even out finances. It seemed like a great deal until I called a few insurance companies... I live in California. So I know (hope) there's someone with the hookups I can talk to about getting at least reasonable insurance. The premiums offered almost made me not buy the car. I'd be dumb to only have liability. Can someone please help me find reasonably priced comp/col. insurance? The average I found was $4,000.00 per year .
wow that s a high incurence the same i have to pay 7000 a year but im 18 with no bonus (must be 18 to have license her) on my mom its only 1500 a year thats with full bonus (its a GT) wtf is up with the incurense over there.
Before I got my celi I was accualy lllokign at a Saturn Ion and Hyundai accent cause they were cheap as shit and wsa jsut going to use as a work commuter... BUT the celica cost 1/2 as much as those to insure
Yeah insurance is a beotch to pay. I am thinking about going to just liability for a year or something. Do you guys think it is worth it to just go liability??
yeah that's getting try AAA, aka "triple-a", they're cheap. It's an automobile club which is good to have for towing and stuff but you might need to be a member to get the insurance through them.
AAA is the cheapest. you probably can get it for 3000$ a year approximately. btw, how old r you and is ur car certified, bought from toyota dealership?

You know...You could have got a new 2004 Celica GT, For a thousand dollars more!...But thats just me!...
I'm good. Did some shopping around. Progressive insurance is the sshhhhhhiiiiiizzzz!!!!!!!!!!! Full coverage, $500 deductible on comp. and col. I got a sweet deal. Like $856 for 6 months. That's a biiiig difference. I guess they find generic insurance companies and give them business. Anyway, you can purchase insurance from them online. I turn 25 next year, so hopefully it'll go down even further.
I wanted the 2001 because of the situation that the guy was in that was selling it to me. Plus it came with the Injen CAI, TRD rear brace, and Rod Millen (nissan?) front brace. My roommate tells me that the Rod Millen sux because it's not ajustable. Hmmmmm.
Thanks for all the input guys. This website is awesome. It's great to talk to people who are just as psyched about such a high quality car. I'm gonna open a new post on General Discussion about car alarms. Feel free to throw out some suggestions. Epinions doesn't rate everything I guess. Late.
