I am planning on sanding the sunroof down as smooth as possible and then spraying it w/ a couple of coats of clear coat. do you guys think this will work? this is kinda a shot in the dark, hopefully it won't fuck up my sunroof. Guys tell me what you think

it seems like i would work , just make sure you use a really good clear coat, like an aftermarket one that you get from a paint shop, not the OEM clear.

If i would sand it, I would try wet sanding, it's the most fine sanding you can do. Definately sounds like it would work though.

yep, mine is doing the same thing, the tint is kinda flaking up or peeling. i've sanded it with some 1500 just to get it rough enough for the clear to stick, but i'm gonna tint my clear so i get a tinted look to it. might even tint it with my paint royal sapphire pearl.

I found a company once that makes different color sunroofs for the celi, It was like 250$ for it. I was gonna get the blue one but I can't remember the site for the life of me...

I removed all the tint on mine with a cleaner (acetone or something, can't remember) stuck new tint on there (3M) using spray glue Works good
